Dental Assistance

Duties and Responsibilities
A dental assistant works with patients to make them comfortable on the dental chair and to prepare them for treatments and procedures. Sterilize dental instruments; prepare the work area for patient treatment by setting out instruments and materials. Help dentists by handing them instruments during procedures. Keep patients mouths dry by using suction hoses and other equipment. Instruct patients in the proper dental hygiene, Process x-rays and complete lab tasks under the direction of a dentist. Keep records of dental treatments, schedule patient appointments.
Salary: $35,000 per year
Education: Diploma, associate’s degree

Reflection: I don’t want to be this because im not that gentle with the dental tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 An athletic trainer is a certified health care professional who
practices in the field of sports and medicine. Athletic training
has been recognized by the American Medical Association
(AMA) as an allied health care profession since 1990. They
provide input as to the fitness and conditioning status of athletes.
They also provide patient and community services and programs.

Salary: $42,690 USD annual pay

Education: bachelor’s degree but many have graduate degree and some experiencing.

Reflection: I would not like not to be one because it looks hard

and scary. I’m not meant to do that kind of stuff.
Dentist

A person qualified to treat the disease and conditions that affect the teeth and gums, especially the repair and extraction of teeth and the insertion of artificial ones. The health of the mouth id essential to the general overall health mouth of the body and a dentist will encourage and assist their patients in maintaining a healthy mouth by regular check- up.

Ambulance Dispatcher

An emergency medical dispatcher is a professional tele-communicator, tasked with the gathering of information related to medical emergencies , the provision of assistance and instructions by voice, prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services, and the dispatching and support of EMS resourses responding to an emergency call. The term Emergency Medical Dispatcher is also a certification level and a professional designation , certified through the ( APCO).

Salary: $22,533-$51,701

Education: high school diploma, adopt training, certification


Reflection: I would not like to be one because im not that really social. I think I would mess up really bad.
Optician

Duties and responsibilities

An Optician is a technical practitioner who designs, fits and dispenses corrective lenses for the correction of a person’s vision.
Opticians determine the specifications of various ophthalmic Appliances that will give the necessary correction to a person’s eyesight. Some registered or licensed opticians also design and fit special appliances to correct cosmetic, traumatic or anatomical defects. These devices are called shells or artificial eyes.  Other registered or licensed opticians manufacture lenses to their own
specifications and design and manufacture spectacle frames and
other devices. Corrective ophthalmic appliances may be contact lenses, spectacle lenses, low vision aids or ophthalmic prosthetics to those who are partially sighted. The appliances are mounted either on the eye as contact lenses or mounted in a frame or holder in front of the eye as spectacles or as a monocle.

Education: Bachelors degree, 4 year (M.D.) program and a
3 year ophthalmology residency in a hospital.

Reflection: I would not like to be one because it looks very complicated and it involves the human eyes. This job would

not be great for me.

Ophthalmologist

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and
write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eye glass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are
employed by hospitals or clinics, and others perform research. 

Average Salary: $90,000_$150,000

Educational Requirements: Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in approved ophthalmologist program. After completing their residency program they must pass an
examination to be certified.

Reflection: I would not be one because I’m not that great at
biology and it seems very hard. This would not be a good job
for me. I don’t like dealing with the human eyes because it is so delectated.




Chiropractor

A chiropractor is a person who practices chiropractic, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on general health. Currently, chiropractors practice in over 100 countries in all regions of the world, however chiropractors are the most prevalent in north America, Australia and parts of Europe.

Education: 4 years of training to be a doctor and 2 years of chiropractor training
Reflection: I would not like to be one because it looks really hard. Also because I’m not interested in those type of things.

Reflection

I think this means that being obedient will take you out of trouble and bring you freedom. In our country we have certain laws that we have to follow which is being obedient. This will bring us freedom but if we are disobedient and break the law there will be no freedom for us and instead you will also go to jail. That is why we have to be obedient.

Cardiologist

A cardiologist is a doctor with special training and skill in finding, treating and preventing diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Whether the cardiologist sees you in the office or in the hospital, he or she will review your medical history and perform a physical examination which may include checking your blood pressure, weight, heart, lungs, and blood vessels. Some problems may be diagnosed by your symptoms and the doctors finding when you are examined. You may need additional tests such as an ECG, x-ray, or blood testing. Other problems will require more specialized testing. Each patients case is unique.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, medical school, and several years in internal medicine also cardiology.

I don’t think I would like to be a psychiatrist because their job seems to be a little difficult. One of the reasons is because they have to have a Ph.D. degree. Another reason is because they have to complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.
